It is the aim of the company to protect all employees and visitors to sites as far as is possible by the elimination of hazards or by the taking of steps to isolate hazards and minimise risks.

All employees are required to be inducted into the company and undertake OH&S training. This addresses safe work practices, incident reporting and recording, injury management and rehabilitation, auditing and inspection procedures, consultative policy, hazardous substances, manual handling, electrical safety and isolation, confined space entry, protective equipment, etc.

Site specific work instructions are developed in consultation with staff members and an ongoing program of training and internal auditing is maintained.

Environmental Policy

MPA Engineering has third party accreditation to ISO 14001:2015

Our Environmental Management System is subject to regular ongoing audits and inspections at two levels:

  • Internal audits and inspections by the Environmental Management Team, and management;
  • Annual external audits by BSI;

We recognise the importance of environmental issues and in particular give much status to the following:

  • The impact of projects on the Global Environment;
  • The potential impact of the construction methods on the general site environment and perimeter 'ripple' effect; and
  • The potential impact of the end user on the facility with regard to safety, easy functioning of operations and the general amenity of the work place.

Our objective is to maintain compliance with, and exceed the requirements of the State and Federal environment obligations. This is achieved through design and implementation of specific Environmental Management Plans for the construction phase.

We make our employees aware of their obligations and responsibilities and also seek to develop a workplace of environmental awareness. This is as essential as water conservation, treatment and delivery which are all integral parts of the environment in the community. This approach seeks to address all plant impacts including water, soil, and noise with specific emphasis on plant residuals.
